Proposta di tesi di laurea magistrale all'estero:

Virtual Open Systems, a French virtualization start up active in many European research projects, proposes master thesis in the areas of computing and networking virtualization coupled with hardware accelerators and security. The students will investigate, deploy and extend existing Linux based virtualization technologies (KVM, XEN, Docker, SnabbSwitch, Open Virtual Switch, OpenStack, etc.) to cope with the requirements of High Performance Computing, Networking Function Virtualization and automotive applications.

During the thesis, the student will get familiar with current state of the art open source technologies, focusing on enhancing their performance (e.g., by using profiling techniques or hardware accelerators, etc.) or extending their functions (e.g., enabling new networking protocols for virtual switches, implementing virtual machines schedulers, improving guest's security, etc.).

The results of the stage will be a detailed report of the student's findings which aims to produce a scientific publication. English is a requirement. Positions with reimbursement are available in Grenoble, France.
