Deep Understanding and Reasoning: A challenge for Next-generation Intelligent Agents

Genova -- November, 28th, 2016
Held in the context of the AI*IA 2016 conference.

The workshop aims to foster a discussion on the structure, design and implementation of intelligent, autonomous agents that starting from a (possibly multi-modal) problem description will deeply understand the problem, devise a suitable model and reasoning technique and find a solution without human intervention.

Designing end-to-end solvers would bring tremendous impact on several areas of industry, society and education. The main goal of the workshop is to bring together AI researchers with complementary skills and background and to foster a discussion aimed at cross-fertilizing different AI sectors and to provide concrete means for autonomous reasoning agents evaluation.

This Workshop is partially supported by the
Department of Computer Science and Engineering
at the University of Bologna.
